The “I Dream to…” Photojournalism Program helps undeserved teens explore careers that they dream to pursue. Step Up Women’s Network draws on its diverse network of professional women to give the students an opportunity to meet with, photograph, and interview a woman in the career field of each student’s dream. The program has ignited the career aspirations of over 250 girls nation wide.
“I Dream to…” Photojournalism is successful because of the tremendous efforts of our phenomenal “I Dream to…” program creator Amy Tierney; dedicated program instructors Emily Hart Roth, Laura Grier, Sarah Horowitz and Melissa Fargo; inspiring Step Up mentors; and ambitious Step Up teens.
The “I Dream to…” is just one of our teen programs.
Step Up Teen Programs aim to mentor, inspire and empower high school girls in undeserved communities to achieve their dreams and reach their full potential. We do this through innovative after-school and Saturday enrichment programming that helps girls develop into the “total woman” – one who is confident, career-ready, college bound and engaged in Step Up’s cycle of philanthropy.
